He believes in the scheme’s immense potential to standardise food safety audits and enhance public health.
Alec’s dedication to Safe to Trade is driven by his belief in the importance of consistent and reliable food safety inspections. He understands the critical role that standardised audits play in reducing inconsistencies and ensuring that consumers can trust the food they purchase. Alec is focused on leveraging Safe to Trade to create a safer food environment and improve industry standards.
Three key benefits of the Safe to Trade scheme that Alec passionately supports are:
- Standardised audit processes that reduce inconsistencies and ensure clarity in food safety inspections.
- The ability for FBOs to demonstrate legal compliance, build a strong due diligence defence, and reduce the likelihood of food safety contraventions.
- The scheme’s potential to positively influence and support national government policy, improve food safety standards, and reduce the incidence of foodborne diseases globally.
Alec envisions Safe to Trade as a transformative initiative that will set new standards for food safety and positively impact public health and consumer confidence.
